Tissue culture of the date palm

Abstract

Plantlets have been obtained from shoot tip and embryo callus of Phoenix dactylifera L. Callus was induced from cultured explants. Plantlets were obtained from embryo and shoot tip callus after 3 to 4 months in culture.
