Genetics of mottling in the terrestrial isopod

Clifford Johnson, Professor

Department of Zoology, University of Florida Gainesville, 32611

Abstract

The genetics of two color pattern variants, mottled and brown antennae, are reported in the terrestrial isopod, Venezillo evergladensis. Factors for the color polymorphism are providing markers for studies on sperm storage and ecological genetics.
