Abstract

In the article, "Role of nucleolar chromosomes in anther-restoration of male-sterile tobacco," by ). A. Burns and D. U. Gerstel (Journal of Heredity 72:413–418.1981) an error appears in the abstract on page 413. The last word of the first line should be nucleus, not nucleolus. In its correct form the sentence should read: "Combining the cytoplasm from one species of Nicotiana with the nucleus from another often results in male sterility."

In the article, "Genetics of the Akp-2 locus for alkaline phosphatase of liver, kidney, bone, and placenta in the mouse," by Frank H. Wilcox and Benjamin A. Taylor (Journal of Heredity 72:387–390. 1981) a printing mistake caused serious errors of omission in Table II on page 389.
