Abstract
Peroxidase inheritance patterns for 10 full-slb Liriodendron tulipifera L. families were examined by acrylamide gel electrophoresis. Six of 13 isozymes detected were sufficiently stable and reproducible to be analyzed by chi-square methods. Isozyme segregation frequencies approximated Mendellan expectations in 47 of the 50 chi-square analyses performed. Each isozyme was found to be controlled by a single locus with two alleles, one dominant and one recessive (silent).
