Inheritance of glabrous pods in fababeans

Abstract

A new mutant designated glabrous pods (GP) is described in fababeans (Vicia faba L.). The mutant phenotype is characterized by the lack of hair on the pod surface. Genetic analysis indicated that glabrous is dominant to the common hairy gene.
