Abstract
The present study was undertaken in order to contribute to the establishment of linkage groups in Apis meilifera. Nine new tests for biochemical markers and 10 tests involving both biochemical and morphological markers are reported. The tests were conducted with the biochemical markers MDH, ADH, Est-3, Est-5, and Est-6 and with the morphological markers bayer, chartreuse, cordovan, cream, and snow. The results suggest that there is no close linkage among the markers studied.
